ARSENAL icon Martin Keown was left red faced after tipping the Gunners to seal Champions League qualification with a 2-1 win over North London rivals Tottenham.

A win for Mikel Arteta's side would have sealed a top four place but the Spaniard was instead left spitting feathers after Spurs' 3-0 win.

The Gunners held a four-point lead heading into Thursday's massive North London Derby.

But that gap is now at just one point with two Premier League games left to play.

Arsenal face two tricky matches against Newcastle and Everton while Spurs take on Burnley and already relegated Norwich.

Arsenal icon Keown backed his former side to seal Champions League qualification at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a 2-1 win.

He told the : "Tottenham are dangerous and have become so much more difficult to beat under Conte.

"Their front three is different class, and I’ve been immensely impressed by their new signings, Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur.

"But I believe this will finish 2-1 to Arsenal, with the confident Nketiah bagging the winner."

Nketiah has nine goals to his name this term and four of those have come in his last five league outings.

The Englishman netted a brace in last month's 4-2 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

And he hit two past Leeds at the weekend.

Firing Arsenal back to the Champions League could be the perfect parting gift should Nketiah leave at the end of the season.

The forward's contract is due to expire and he is attracting interest from a number of clubs.

But he failed to deliver in north London in a contest Tottenham controlled from start to finish - with Nketiah's task made more difficult by the 33rd minute dismissal of Rob Holding.
