Man Utd ‘want Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus as Erik ten Hag lines up Dutch double transfer including Frenkie de Jong’
MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly eyeing a move for Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.
Incoming boss Erik ten Hag is planning a summer rebuild at United and it appears he is targeting players he has worked with previously.
The duo were key to Ten Hag's Ajax side that reached the Champions League semi-final in 2019.
But both could now be available for sale with De Jong's Barcelona looking to raise funds and De Ligt struggling for consistency in Turin.

United have prioritised midfield upgrades with Paul Pogba likely following Nemanja Matic out of the club this summer.
The Red Devils are reportedly 95 per cent likely to sign De Jong this summer and appear to be closing in on a £70million deal.
But rivals Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested in the 25-year-old and would be able to offer Champions League football, unlike United.
De Ligt has also attracted interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs in Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

But United hope the appeal of working with his former boss Ten Hag once again will lure the centre-back to Old Trafford.
Juventus could block any advance from the Red Devils however having rejected bids for De Ligt from Chelsea and Barca last summer.
