Premier League Golden Boot Race 2021/22: Who is top scorer and can trophy be shared?

THE Premier League season was closed off in the most dramatic of circumstances - with Manchester City securing the title having came from two goals down against Aston Villa.

But the race for the golden boot award also had a thrilling end to it with Heung-min Son and Mo Salah forced to share the spoils.

Spurs' superstar Son was on course to pip Salah to the prestigious award with a brace in Tottenham's 5-0 pummelling on Norwich.

However Salah's 84th minute strike against Wolves on the final day, wasn't enough for Liverpool to clinch the league, but it equalled Son's tally.

Yes. Should two or more players be on the same amount of goals the trophy will be shared.

The Premier League confirmed: "In the event of joint top scorers, the accolade is shared, with awards for each player.";
