‘I don’t want to play there’ – Robert Lewandowski sensationally reveals he wants to quit Bayern Munich in shock transfer

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI has sensationally declared he "doesn't want to play for Bayern Munich anymore" and demanded a transfer.

The 33-year-old Polish striker has been heavily linked with a summer switch to Barcelona.

Lewandowski had already signalled his intention to reject any contract extension with the German champs.

His deal runs out next summer.

Speaking to reporters while on international duty with Poland, Lewandowski said: “My era at Bayern is over. I don't see any possibility to continue playing for this club anymore.

“Bayern’s a serious club and I believe they won’t keep me, I don't want to play there anymore.

"A transfer is the best solution. I hope they don't stop me”.

The free-scoring forward gave a cryptic clue of what was to come when he attended the Monaco Grand Prix at the weekend.

Speaking to Sky Germany at in the Principality, he said: "The time will come to give information.

The Polish international has one year left on his current deal with Bayern, meaning they would lose him for free if they didn't sell him this summer.

A fee of £34million is expected to be enough to complete the transfer to the Nou Camp.

Lewandowski's goal record is more than impressive, scoring 344 goals in 374 games for the Bavarians.

This season alone he has scored 50 goals, including 35 in the Bundesliga and 13 in the Champions League.

While Bayern may be about to lose their main talisman, they are already taking steps to ensure they lose no firepower this summer.

The German giants are believed to be preparing a move for Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.
