Furious Wolves ‘seek legal advice’ after Arsenal gazump them to transfer of Brazilian wonderkid Marquinhos
WOLVES have reportedly sought legal advice after Brazilian winger Marquinhos joined Arsenal from Sao Paulo.
The Gunners announced the signing of the 19-year-old on Monday on a contract at the Emirates until 2026, with the option of a further year.
Arsenal have managed to secure a cut-price £3million fee for the teenager, who was poised to become a free agent next month.
Instead of waiting to pick him up for nothing, the North London giants decided to offer the Brazilian side a small sum of cash.
Sao Paolo chief Carlos Belmonte was so impressed by the gesture from Arsenal director Edu that he has insisted the two clubs will now enter a partnership that will see more starlets make the move to the Emirates.
And while Arsenal fans celebrate the signing of the 'next Douglas Costa', Wolves have been left furious after being pipped to his signature.
