ARSENE WENGER recently celebrated 20 years in charge of Arsenal, and Robert Pires believes he will resist the lure of the England job.
The Frenchman is out of contract in the summer, and the FA are reportedly ready to offer the 66-year-old the reigns of the Three Lions.
Pires, 42, who won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups in his time at North London, feels that managing the national side would be too tedious for Wenger, and that he wouldn't enjoy not being out on the training pitch every day. With Sam Allardyce leaving his position last week, the vacancy is up for grabs.
He said: "This guy loves the pitch every morning. It’s a passion. It’s an obsession. It’s not really the same when you manage a country.
"If he takes this job he would need to adapt to the new challenge, it’s not really the same.
"They think he would be the ideal person to manage this team because this team needs energy and stability, and especially to be credible. With what happened, I think England is not credible anymore."

"But I know about Arsene, he loves his club Arsenal, he built many things in this club. I know his contract is ending, I don't know what will happen, but for me the best thing would be for Arsene to continue at Arsenal.
