Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo didn't join his team-mates on their pre-season tour of Thailand due to "family reasons".

He is instead training alone as he searches for a club willing to prise the Portugal international away from Old Trafford.

An unnamed Saudi side are said to have offered United £25million and Ronaldo £2M-A-WEEK, but he has rejected the proposal in his bid to remain in Europe.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with Ronaldo after new owner Todd Boehly was offered the chance to sign him by the player’s representative Jorge Mendes.

But SunSport understands that the Blues are not interested in securing his services.

And Bayern Munich have also ruled out bringing Ronaldo to Bavaria after boss Julian Nagelsmann laughed off speculation.

His possible stay at United has amused Russian side Spartak Moscow, who have poked fun at the forward on social media.

They quote tweeted an old post from January 2021 where they said "Hi" to Lionel Messi when he was threatening to leave Barcelona, with the Argentine ace simply replying "no".

In a mocked up message, they showed that Ronaldo had now said "Hi Spartak" in a sign that the player is struggling to find interested teams.

And it was their turn to reply with a blunt "no".

Captioning the post, they simply said: "Pain again. But not for us this time."

Fans found their tweet hilarious, as one fan said: "Ronaldo should have moved in silence, now he’s become a full blown meme."

Another commented: "This admin is legendary."

A third added: "Spartak Moscow gotta have the best admin."

Meanwhile one simply stated: "This is elite trolling."
