Austria 2 Wales 2: Marko Arnautovic brace cancels out Joe Allen’s screamer as Chris Coleman’s side settle for a point in Vienna
CHRIS COLEMAN'S side went ahead twice but were pegged back by the Stoke midfielder
A Marko Arnautovic brace meant Chris Coleman's Wales had to settle with a well-earned point in rainy Vienna.
Joe Allen scored his third goal in as many games for the first time in his career with a screamer to give the visitors the lead after 22 minutes.
But they were pegged back just moments later when Wales' defence fell asleep leaving Arnautovic to nod the ball past keeper Wayne Hennessey.
In the dying embers of the first half, a Gareth Bale long throw was headed goalbound by James Chester before the ball rebounded off the keeper hitting unlucky Spurs defender Kevin Wimmer and trickling in.
However just minutes after the restart a lazy Allen pass was intercepted by Stoke teammate Arnautovic before the midfielder bagged his second of the night.

"Our home form is important, we need to win there now."
Wales boss Chris Coleman: "We have to be honest and say we'll take that point tonight. It wasn't our best performance, we know that but Austria are a very good team at home.
"We found a way through, by hook or by crook, and we rode our luck at times.
"The long throw was working! They were nervous every time. There are all sorts of ways to score a goal you know."
