JUVE GOT TO GO

Ex-Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey set for free transfer as Juventus TERMINATE £400k contract in brutal 13-word statement

JUVENTUS have announced the termination of Aaron Ramsey's contract in a brutal 13-word statement.

SunSport reported last week that the Wales star, 31, was pushed closer to the exit door after he was axed from the Italian club's pre-season tour of the USA.

Now Ramsey's availability on a free transfer could spark a scramble among Prem clubs with Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Fulham all linked with the midfielder.

Ramsey has turned down moves to Turkey but the free agent has also been touted with an MLS move - which could see him join Wales team-mate Gareth Bale, who recently joined Los Angeles FC.

Ramsey said in a statement on social media: "I want to focus on the positives and overall I have enjoyed my time in Torino.

"I am so grateful to the fans and Italian people who are warm, supportive and passionate and whom it's been a pleasure to get to know over the last three years. Thank you."

He then posted in Italian - "Non dimentichero mai questa esperienza condivisa insieme. In bocca al lupo amici. Grazie mille" - which translates to: ""I will never forget this shared experience together. Good luck friends.

"A thousand thanks."

The ex-Arsenal ace, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Rangers, is desperate - like Bale - to play regular first-team football ahead of November's World Cup in Qatar.

The Italian giants signed the former Arsenal star on a free transfer on reported £400,000 a week wages back in 2019.

Ramsey's move didn't gone to plan, however, as he struggled to stay fit during his time in Turin.

After just 69 appearances for Juve in two-and-a-half years he signed for Rangers on loan in January.

He also struggled to stay fit in Glasgow, making only 13 appearances and suffering Europa League heartache by missing the crucial penalty during May's final defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Ramsey reported back to Juventus for medical tests earlier this month, but has now agreed to have his deal ended.

In a statement posted to social media, Juve wrote: "OFFICIAL | Aaron Ramsey's contract with Juventus has been mutually terminated.

"All the best, @aaronramsey!"

The Welshman, 31, won a Serie A title, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana during his time in Italy.

He will now be desperate to keep himself fit ahead of this winter's World Cup in Qatar.

Juve have signed midfielder Paul Pogba this month, following the Frenchman's Manchester United departure.

But they may be without him for TWO MONTHS after he picked up a knee injury in training.

Juve were keen to get Ramsey off the books to clear space to sign the Argentine.

Despite the former Gunner now having departed, the Old Lady also want to flog Arthur Melo before signing Paredes.
