BAYERN MUNICH star Thomas Muller suffered a horror gash to his right eye during his side's frustrating draw with Eintracht Frankfurt... yet carried on playing.

The German ace, 27, clashed with Chelsea's on-loan defender Michael Hector, seemingly being caught by the Blues man's elbow.

Muller was left on the ground, with blood gushing from his eye, running down his face as he lay writhing in pain.

The forward was eventually patched up via butterfly stitches as Carlo Ancelotti and Co battled to get their hands on all three points.

Ultimately the Bundesliga giants were forced to settle for a frustrating point, finishing the match 2-2, despite playing against ten men.

Munich are currently top of the Bundesliga with 17 points from their first seven games, just two points ahead of Koln, three ahead of Hertha Berlin and four in front of main rivals Borussia Dortmund.
