BARCELONA have a pre-arrangement to sign Palmeiras defender, Yerry Mina, according to reports in Catalonia.
Luis Enrique’s first-choice centre-halves, Gerard Pique, who has already been touted a future club president, and Javier Mascherano are now 29 and 32 respectively — and the club are preparing for the future.
Samuel Umtiti is expected to play a big role in years, but the club are on the look-out for a long-term partner.
And that could come in the form of Colombian, Mina, who claim Barca could sign for as little as £8million.
The 22-year-old has been one of the stand-out performers in Brazil this season and has caught the attention of the Catalan giants.
Measuring 6”3in., Mina is a powerful unit, capable of intimidating his opponents and dominant in the air.
