Barcelona can buy Palmeiras defender Yerry Mina for £9million as they look for long-term Gerard Pique replacement

BARCELONA have a pre-arrangement to sign Palmeiras defender, Yerry Mina, according to reports in Catalonia.

Luis Enrique’s first-choice centre-halves, Gerard Pique, who has already been touted a future club president, and Javier Mascherano are now 29 and 32 respectively — and the club are preparing for the future.

He has an eye for goal as he demonstrated with his late equaliser for Colombia against Uruguay in their recent 2-2 World Cup qualifying draw.

After that draw in Barranquilla, he was flown back in a private jet for this weekend’s match against Figueirense.

He started his career at Deportivo Pasto, before moving to Santa Fe at the age of 19.
