The Serie A giants are apparently looking to ditch Icardi following his run-in with the club’s Ultras, with Batshuayi seen as the perfect replacement to lead Frank De Boer’s line.

But SunSport understands Chelsea’s Belgian striker is not considering a Stamford Bridge exit, and is determined to prove his worth to Antonio Conte.

However, Icardi’s future at the San Siro is still in doubt despite extending his contract earlier this month.

The Argentine has made a number of bold claims in his new autobiography regarding Inter’s hardcore fans, and they showed their anger during yesterday’s 2-1 defeat to Cagliari.

Icardi was applauded by his own supporters as he missed a penalty, and Inter have already taken steps to punish him – although he will not be stripped of the captaincy.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in Icardi’s signature, while Arsenal made an attempt to land him in August.
