According to German publication , Kurt had been accused of messaging a girl, whose age is unknown, before sending her a picture of his penis.

The girl's parents found out and filed a complaint before the accusation went to court.

The report states that the verdict lasted just a few hours before sentencing the player with a fine of €20,000 - around a month of Kurt's wages.

However Kurt's lawyer Michael Decker has denied that the midfielder has done anything wrong.

He said: "The punishment was adopted without Sinan Kurt commenting on the accusation.

"He denies the allegation and will appeal immediately."

Kurt started his career at Borussia Monchengladbach but caused uproar in Germany when he tried to force a move to Bayern Munich after he learnt of their interest.

After securing his dream move, Kurt made just one appearance for the German giants before joining Hertha in January this year.
