FENERBAHCE’s stars final touched down in the north west on Wednesday evening after a nightmare journey over to England.

The Turkish side were forced into making an emergency landing in Hungary earlier in the day.

Their journey to the Europa League clash with Manchester United came to a halt when the private plane they were travelling in was struck by a bird – smashing the plane’s windshield and causing them to land in Budapest.

Fener’s squad did not look to dismayed by their drama as they finally reached Manchester Airport on Wednesday.

In fact, Robin van Persie and co looked to be in a relaxed mood as they made their way from the tarmac and onto the bus taking them to Old Trafford.
