MATTEO DARMIAN is edging closer to his Manchester United exit because of Timothy Fosu-Mensah.
According to , Fosu-Mensah, 18, has been earmarked by Jose Mourinho as the club's future first-choice right-back.
And that means there would be no place for Darmian, 26, in United's starting line-up.

Darmian has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after a promising start to life in the Premier League faded.
Mourinho's stance is apparently that the Italian is surplus to requirements at the Theatre of Dreams.
And that could see Darmian - who arrived at the club in a £12m deal last summer - move back to Italy with Inter Milan in a loan deal.
Barcelona have also reportedly shown an interest in the former Tornio star.
Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan have also been linked with a move for the former Torino ace, but Frank de Boer appears to have won the race for his signature.

Darmian, capped 26 times by the Azzurri, has been frustrated by his lack of game time and fears losing his place at international level too.

But Fosu-Mensah put pen-to-paper on a new four-year deal following months of negotiation.
And the contract has an option for a further year showing that United have big plans for the Dutchman.
Fosu-Mensah came on in United's 4-1 rout against Fenerbahce in the Europa League last night.
But that is only his second senior appearance this campaign.
