Watford could be deducted Premier League points after allegedly sending forged banking letter to the EFL
Reports claim Hornets supplied false financial documents allowing Gino Pozzo to become sole owner and take full control
WATFORD could be deducted points for allegedly supplying false financial documents, according to reports.
The Telegraph claims the Hornets submitted a forged banking letter when Gino Pozzo became their sole owner, with the club now under investigation by the EFL.
It’s said the filing was used as proof to show the Italian had enough funds to take full control at Watford.

The report claims the letter was fabricated to make it look like it was written by HSBC before being submitted just before the 2014/15 season – when Watford won promotion to the Premier League.
The Telegraph says it has obtained a copy of the document, which has now been passed on to HSBC and the police.
Watford are now under full investigation from the EFL and could face a heavy fine – as well as a potential points deduction.
An EFL spokesman said: “We can confirm, following receipt of information from The Daily Telegraph, that we immediately commenced a disciplinary investigation into serious allegations made against Watford Football Club.
“The club has been formally contacted by the EFL and is now requited to provide a full and detailed response to the allegations. Once that response is received, it will be fully considered by the EFL and appropriate action will be taken under our rules and regulations.”
