Ryan Giggs to Wigan: Latics target Manchester United legend after sacking Gary Caldwell

WIGAN have made Ryan Giggs a prime target to take over at the DW Stadium, according to reports.
Gary Caldwell was sacked on Tuesday after winning just two of 14 matches so far this season.
SunSport reported on Tuesday that Wigan are looking at Karl Robinson, who was sacked by MK Dons after a poor start this season.
Manchester United legend Giggs, who stepped down as the club's assistant after Jose Mourinho was appointed, is still looking for his first permanent managerial job.
According to , Giggs is keen to start his career as the top dog and is open to offers.
The report states that Wigan are now weighing up a move for the Welshman, who would be able to stay in the North West.
Giggs had long been linked with a move to Swansea City, but Bob Bradley was handed the reins after Giggs claimed the club's ambition did not match his own.

The 42-year-old won 13 Premier League titles, the Champions League twice, four FA Cups, four League Cups and the Club World Cup in a storied playing career.
He is United's all-time record appearance make with 963 matches between 1991 and 2014.
Giggs was assistant to David Moyes and then Louis van Gaal - as well as interim manager - before ending his long association with the club when Mourinho arrived.
Giggs has worked as a TV pundit since stepping down from his No 2 job, while he continues to follow business ventures with other members of the class of 92.
