West Ham 2 Chelsea 1: The London Stadium can rock after all, Blues defensive woes return and are real Hammers back?
What we learnt from an exciting night of EFL Cup action under the lights at Stratford

WEST HAM knocked Antonio Conte's below-par Chelsea out of the EFL Cup after an entertaining game at the London Stadium.
A header from Cheikhou Kouyate and a second-half strike from Edimilson Fernandes was enough to see Slaven Bilic's side through to the quarter-finals, despite a late Gary Cahill consolation.
Here are five things we learnt from this evening's game.
The Olympic Stadium CAN be a cauldron
SINCE West Ham's move to Stratford, there has been a lot of talk over the atmosphere - or lack thereof.
But tonight was finally the night that the Boleyn noise finally arrived - and in force.
Even before kick-off there was a decent noise.
But following the second goal, the London Stadium was rocking.
Strong teams
WHO said teams don't take the EFL Cup seriously?
There was some serious talent on show here, with Asmir Begovic and Nathaniel Chalobah getting run-outs for Chelsea.
But both teams sent out a side to win and it was a better game for it.
Are West Ham back?
THIS was a Hammers performance of grit, occasional brilliance and spirit.
Pretty much everything that has been lacking so far this season.
But this could definitely be a game change. This wasn't a weak Chelsea side, and they're deservedly through.
This Chelsea team are still shaky at the back
GET balls into the box, and the Blues are all at sea.
John Terry was beaten all too easily by Kouyate for the first goal, whilst Fernandes was closed down by three men - but was still allowed to shoot.
David Luiz is yet to convince and Gary Cahill hardly laid down a marker as to why he should start games.
After three clean sheets in a row, it's time to tighten up again.

Slighty sour ending..
A LOCAL derby brings tensions and it was feared there would be some off-pitch troubles.
It wasn't until late in the game that certain fans squared up to each other behind security and some bottles appeared to be thrown from both sets of supporters.
But it shouldn't overshadow what was an excellent cup tie.
