Lyon to offer Alexandre Lacazette new deal to fight off Arsenal and West Ham
Lyon striker wanted out in the summer with Arsenal and West Ham making bids but the Ligue 1 club are set to offer the French international a new deal
LYON are set to offer striker Alexandre Lacazette a new bumper deal to ward off Premier League suitors.
Lacazette, 25 made it clear in the summer he wanted out with Arsenal and West Ham making bids.
The French striker blew out the Hammers and his preferred destination was Arsenal, however the Gunners failed to meet Lyon’s valuation so the deal collapsed.

Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed the club are looking to tie Lacazette down to a new big money deal to scare off any fresh bids from the Premier League.
Aulas confirmed after Lyon’s 2-1 win against Toulouse on Saturday “I would like for us to be able to extend Alexandre’s contract”
The disappointment of the move to North London not going through has not affected Lacazette. The striker has bagged nine goals in nine games so far this season despite Lyon languishing 13 points behind leaders Nice.
But if the striker agrees to a new deal at the Stade De Gerland then the player has already insisted on a release clause allowing a move to a top European club in the future.
The Hammers were also keen and could go back in for the French hitman in January if the new deal Lyon offer is not agreed and rubber stamped before the winter transfer window opens.
