Arsenal vs Tottenham: Gary Lineker reckons Mauricio Pochettino’s side are in for a ‘spanking’ in North London Derby
Former Spurs and Leicester forward hit out at White Hart Lane outfit for their horrific showing in the Champions League
GARY LINEKER has warned Tottenham face a 'good spanking' in the North London Derby against Arsenal on Sunday following their woeful performance against Bayer Leverkusen.
Spurs were well-and-truly beaten on Wednesday night by the Bundesliga outfit at Wembley as Slovenia's Kevin Kampl netted the winner in a 1-0 victory.
The loss stretched Spurs' winless run to six games, when Mauricio Pochettino and Co managed to beat Manchester City 2-0 at White Hart Lane.

And ahead of taking on a rampant Arsenal - three points ahead of Tottenham in second place in the Premier League - former Spurs forward Lineker said the game could be completely one-sided.
Lineker said: "If they play like that [against Bayer Leverkusen] in the north London derby they will get a good spanking.

"Defensively they are all over the place, there's no communication and going forward, they're so disjointed.
"They are making elementary mistakes and there is no cohesion. They've been a real disappointment.
"Going into the game at the weekend you need momentum. Leverkusen were superior all over the pitch."
Tottenham currently sit fifth in the Premier League as they cool down from their hot start to the 2016-17 seasons.
Injuries to star players such as Harry Kane have proved to be a thorn in the side.
However, all excuses need to be thrown out the window as the two giants of English football do battle at the Emirates... Only time will tell if Mr Lineker has got this one right.
