Bayern Munich 1 Hoffenheim 1: Thomas Muller misses a last-gasp sitter as fairytale continues for Julian Nagelsmann

BAYERN MUNICH were held to a shock draw by one of the Bundesliga’s surprise packages of the season.

Hoffenheim — who are managed by 29-year-old Julian Nagelsmann — found themselves in third place prior to kick-off.

And they showed their position is now fluke as they took the lead through Kerem Demirbay after just 16 minutes.

In their first real attack of the afternoon, Nadiem Amiri found space down the left and pulled the ball back for the Turkish striker to fire past Manuel Neuer.

But Bayern — who were sporting a special friendly eco-friendly kit made out of recycled marine plastic debris — were level just 18 minutes later as Hoffenheim were punished for their first mistake of the afternoon.

Arjen Robben sprung in Douglas Costa whose wonderful cross was sent through his own goalkeeper’s by Steven Zuber.

However, despite a Bayern onslaught, the expected goalrush did not arrive.
