FIRST we had planking in 2010, then the Harlem Shake in 2013, then the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in 2014.
They all took the internet by storm. The latest craze to burst into the public sphere is the Mannequin Challenge - and Borussia Dortmund's players have showed exactly what it's all about.
The rules are simple. While music plays in the background, you must stand as still as a statue.
Think of those times you played musical statues as a child.

But the Dortmund players have taken the game a step further, in quite hilarious fashion.
Among others, Andre Schurrle, Mario Gotze and Shinji Kagawa are filmed in the gym, holding weights and poses for the challenge.
The video was posted by former Bayern Munich man Gotze and Schurrle on social media.
Schurrle lies on his back carrying out a free weights session, while next to him stands Marco Reus holding a dumbbell.
Ex-Manchester United man Kagawa is then featured half-way through a dip, holding perfectly still for the camera.
Gotze is filmed frozen in time doing an ab workout, while substitute goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller is on the bench press.
The new craze is being shared on line using the tag #MannequinChallenge.
