Celtic-daft presenter reveals he’s flying up for Viaplay Cup Final clash with Rangers on Rod Stewart’s private jet

ALL roads lead to Hampden on Sunday for Rangers and Celtic fans.

The Viaplay Cup Final showdown for the first silverware of the season is a must-see for both sides of the Old Firm.

And though they're vying for a shining silver trophy - those tickets are like GOLD-DUST.

Briefs are in high demand but those lucky enough to be filling the National Stadium are eagerly awaiting the 3pm kick-off on Sunday - and among them will be famous Hoops die-hards like Rod Stewart and Alan Brazil.

Sir Rod is a frequent visitor to see his team and was recently back to see them defeat Livingston on a trip to the city. He also flew in with family a year ago when Celtic defeated their rivals 3-0.

But he'll have different company this weekend as talkSPORT presenter Brazil revealed the pair would be travelling TOGETHER to the big game.

He told breakfast show listeners he'll be in the lap of luxury aboard Sir Rod's private jet heading north for the big game at Hampden - which holds a special place in the heart of the breakfast show host.

As he joked with Old Firm rivals Ally McCoist and Neil Lennon this morning he recalled playing football as a youngster on the red ash outside the ground while fans queued up for tickets.

Brazil of course went on to don the Hoops of his boyhood heroes before embarking on a professional career in the game and broadcasting.

And he was in mischeivious mood as he welcomed Lennon and regular co-host McCoist on air - introducing the pair with opposing club anthems You'll Never Walk Alone and Simply the Best.

Asking for predictions Brazil turned to Lennon first and quipped: "How many will Celtic win by?"

The ex-Parkhead boss tipped a 2-1 or 3-1 win - but also joked he fancied a bet DOUBLE - for Rangers to receive a penalty in Mount Florida and a Celtic player to see red.

Ally McCoist played along too - cheekily tipping a James Tavernier spot-kick in the 74th minute and, despite gushing with praise for Ange Postecoglou's team couldn't resist signing off with a 2-0 prediction to Rangers.

Brazil admitted: "I haven't been to a Hampden final in a long time - I can't wait."

They're not alone in making their predictions for the big game and Sunsport's top team of writers have pitched their scoreline suggestions ahead of Sunday's mouth-watering clash.
