GARETH BALE has been ribbed by his Wales pals — for looking like Tarzan.

But that has not stopped him being the butt of the jokes in Chris Coleman’s squad ahead of Saturday’s World Cup home clash with Serbia.

Bale’s man bun fell out against Georgia last month, revealing an emerging bald patch on the 27-year-old’s head.

And asked what the biggest thing his  team-mates  give talisman Bale stick for, Palace midfielder Joe Ledley said: “A bit of his barnet, yeah.

“We saw it fall out last month — we had him a bit for that. He looked like Tarzan. He should be getting a shampoo advert!

“But he deserves every penny and whatever he gets in life because he’s proven to be one of the greatest players on the planet.

“He’s just one of the boys. We don’t care who he is, we will still hammer him and he will hammer us.

“That’s the banter we have here and there’s a lot going on around the place. We play golf together and if he duffs one then we’re on his back as he’s pretty good. Really,   I don’t know what he’s not good at!

 

“But if you ask him, he loves meeting up with Wales and that is the togetherness we have.

“It doesn’t matter who anybody is, we’re all together as a team and you can’t treat anybody different to anybody else.

“There is no jealousy whatsoever because we have known Gareth since he was a boy at Southampton — and for me, I haven’t seen any change in him at all.

“He has just stayed on that straight and narrow line and remained the same person.”
