BARCELONA are set for talks to bring Darijo Srna to the Nou Camp after missing out on Hector Bellerin.

The Catalan giants are still struggling at right-back after the departure of Dani Alves in the summer - with replacement Aleix Vidal failing to shine.

SunSport understand Barcelona are desperate for a quick fix and Srna, 34, would be a cheap, quick option.

Nou Camp chiefs are flying to the Ukraine tomorrow to meet him and discuss terms over a free transfer in January.

Vidal - a £14million capture from Sevilla - looks almost certain to exit the Nou Camp after failing to impress since his arrival.

And the Spanish side were keen to bring Gunners star Bellerin back to the club after his impressive performances since leaving in 2011.

But he has signed a new deal at the Emirates and claims that he had no intention of returning to Barcelona.

Srna's deal at Shakhtar Donetsk runs out in 2017 but he would be available for nothing - ideal for Barca's current full-back woes.

He is regarded as a legend in the Ukraine after 13 years of faithful service to the club - but has an agreement with chairman Rinat Akhmetov that he can leave for free if Barca come calling.

The Spaniards sit second in La Liga, two points behind bitter rivals Real Madrid, and face Malaga when the league returns from the international break on Saturday.
