Fabio Capello hails ‘spectacular’ Liverpool but tips solid Chelsea for Premier League title
Former England boss suggests Jurgen Klopp's Reds may run out of steam while Antonio Conte frustrates rivals to the bitter end
FABIO CAPELLO reckons “spectacular” Liverpool deserve credit but tipped Antonio Conte's Chelsea to win the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds top the table after a free-flowing start to the season, with the Blues a point behind.
But former England chief Capello, 70, believes Liverpool may run out of steam while Conte's stubborn side can defend their way to the title.
He said: “Liverpool are spectacular. What is not known is how long it will last. Chelsea are solid. (Antonio) Conte is working well.
"To score against Chelsea is really difficult. For me that can happen until the end.”
Manchester United currently sit in sixth place - already eight points of the pace setters.
Jose Mourinho has failed to build on a fast start despite spending a huge amount recruiting this summer.
