JOSE MOURINHO fears Memphis Depay could come back to haunt Manchester United if he is allowed to go on loan to Everton.

The Old Trafford boss has not taken a liking to the £25million man brought in by old boss Louis Van Gaal.

Everton chief Ronald Koeman is keen on bringing his Dutch compatriot to Goodison to relaunch a career he sees wasting away in Manchester.

The ex-Southampton boss previously tried to lure Memphis to St Mary's before losing out to United.

And it seems he may be out of luck again because Mourinho does not want the winger to go to another Premier League club.

The Portuguese is happy for Memphis to go abroad - but will not allow a rival to snap him up.

Mourinho has taken this stance before, when then-Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech said he wanted to leave Stamford Bridge.
