Arsenal team news: Theo Walcott set to miss Manchester United clash if his pregnant wife goes into labour
Arsene Wenger could be dealt a selection blow as Walcott’s partner Melanie Slade is expecting
THEO Walcott could miss Arsenal’s crunch clash with Manchester United this weekend – as his wife is due to give birth.
The England winger has been in sensational form this season, and is a key part of the Gunners Premier League title hopes.
But Arsene Wenger could be dealt a selection blow as Walcott’s partner Melanie Slade is expected to have their second child any moment.
The 27-year-old would be given special leave by the Arsenal boss if she was to go into labour.
Wenger has a number of selection concerns already with Hector Bellerin out injured and Alexis Sanchez a fitness doubt.

Walcott would be replaced by the out-of-form Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the Gunners’ right-hand side.
Carl Jenkinson is expected to come in for Bellerin at right-back, as the injuries start to mount up for Wenger.
Walcott has had one of his best ever starts this campaign, scoring five Premier League goals and grabbing three assists.
Manchester United have injury doubts of their own, along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic being out through suspension.
