Sanchez has declared he's in "good shape" after netting twice to help Chile to a 3-1 win over Uruguay on Tuesday.

There had been concerns over the forward's fitness after he picked up a thigh problem which had caused him to miss the goalless draw with Colombia last week.

Wenger had previously said that Sanchez playing for Chile could be a "suicidal decision that could harm his future for two or three months."

But Sanchez appears desperate to play against the Red Devils and has delivered a message to his boss.

The availability of the eight-goal ace would be a major boost to Wenger.

After Chile's win against Uruguay, Sanchez said: “I will train on Friday and travel the same day to Manchester to play Saturday midday.

“There is no problem with me playing."

Ozil posted an update on social media suggested he had even more energy than before the international break.

Germany rested the playmaker, with Die Mannschaft boss Joachim Low confirming he made the call due to the lack of a winter break in England.

Ozil tweeted: Gained new energy during international break. See you in Manchester on Saturday!#YaGunnersYa #BigMatchComingUp #MUFCvAFC @Arsenal"
