XHERDAN SHAQIRI may have needed some cheering up after his performances for Stoke this season.

And he looked to have done some serious retail therapy after returning from international duty.

The Stoke winger must have pocketed some serious dough in his career so far, having played for Bayern Munich and Inter Milan before his £12million move to Stoke.

It isn't unfair to say that he has failed to live up to expectations at any of them after picking up his wonderkid tag at Basel.

He's netted just three times this season.

And that is the same number of bags visible after the 25-year-old went to pick himself up some new clobber, with a bag from expensive designer Daniele Alessandrini visible.

Shaqiri posted a picture of him sat on his bike which translate roughly as: "Heaven on earth does not exist, but who goes on bicycle we still come."

Whatever that means, he then went home for another pick-me-up... and watched footage of himself on a massive TV!

Switzerland picked up three World Cup qualifying points with a 2-0 win over theFaroes last week.

And he will hope he has some more good footage of himself to watch on Match of the Day after the Potters host Bournemouth tomorrow.
