The Madrid derby is always a fiery affair, and it almost boiled over when Cristiano Ronaldo and Koke clashed

CRISTIANO RONALDO almost got himself in a spot of bother as he looked to take a swing at Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke during the derby.

Ronaldo jumps up for a headed pass from Gareth Bale tangling with Koke as he jostles for the ball, the Portuguese is aggravated by how physical Koke is so he clenches his fist and aims up a dig.

Perhaps Ronaldo pulled out, or is more worried about the lengthy ban he would receive if he does land a straightener on Koke.

The two then went head to head in the usual hand bags scene that footballers like to perform with their chest pumped out as far as possible.

Both players are booked for their behaviour as they are separated from calling each other names and waving their arms in the air.

Whatever was in Ronaldo's mind there is no doubt he makes a much better footballer than a boxer after his hat-trick downed Real's rivals 3-0 so a career change probably is not in the offing anytime soon.
