Ballon d’Or: Cristiano Ronaldo tips himself to crowned best player in Europe by saying he has done ‘everything this season’
CRISTIANO RONALDO says he has done "everything this season" to win the coveted Ballon d'Or trophy for the fourth time.
The Real Madrid and Portugal forward, 31, believes 2016 has been his best year and that he has done everything he can to win to wrestle the trophy off arch rival, Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

He won Euro 2016 with his country this summer and scored 51 goals in 48 matches for Madrid as they won the Champions League trophy.
And after his hat-trick in the Madrid derby this weekend - the 44th of his career - boss Zinedine Zidane said there was no doubt about who should win the Ballon d'Or, and Ronaldo insists he has a great chance.

In a post-match interview, he said: "I've done everything for this season. We won the Champions League, I won the Euros with Portugal.
"The vote doesn't depend on me and I don't want to be obsessed with it.
"But if you ask me if I want to win the Ballon d'Or, I'd say yes. This year has been amazing for me, with all the trophies. It's my best season, no doubt about that."
The winner of the prize is now voted for by global football journalists, with the winner announced on December 13.
Ronaldo has won it three times before, with current holder Messi having won it five times - and no other player has received it since Kaka in 2007.
Nevertheless, the likes Neymar and Antoine Griezmann all in the running, as well as Brit Jamie Vardy.
