Inter Milan transfer news: Chelsea target Marco Verratti and Manchester United target James Rodriguez wanted in £128m swoop
Italian giants ready to make giant push in transfer window next summer and want some of football's biggest names
INTER MILAN are reportedly ready to splash the cash on James Rodriguez and Marco Verratti next summer.
The Italian giants embarked on a huge spending spree in the last transfer window, bringing the likes of Antonio Candreva, Joao Mario and Gabriel Barbosa to the San Siro.
But Frank de Boer was shown the door after just 14 games at the helm, and it’s now down to Stefano Pioli to secure Champions League qualification ahead of resurgent rivals AC Milan.
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is already wanted to take charge at the end of the season, and Tuttosport via claims Inter chiefs will supply the Argentine with two world-class players worth a combined £128million.
Real Madrid outcast Rodriguez has fallen out with Zinedine Zidane after making just six appearances in the new campaign and was targeted by Inter last summer.
Manchester United are also interested but Rodriguez is sure to be handed his preferred No.10 role with the Nerazzurri.
The report adds that Paris Saint-Germain ace Verratti is wanted to strengthen the midfield in a move which would see Chelsea end up empty-handed.
