Arsenal vs Bournemouth: Robert Pires lends his Invincibles knowledge to Gunners team as they look to extend unbeaten streak against Cherries

Legend of the Invincibles season of 2004 takes to the training pitch to show the current crop a thing or two

ARSENAL are currently on a 18-game unbeaten streak - and to keep it going against Bournemouth they've enlisted the help of one of the 2004 Invincibles.

Robert Pires was a member of the Gunners side that famously went 49 games unbeaten and his presence on the training field delighted members of the current squad.

Pires is good friends with striker Olivier Giroud and the pair were snapped earlier this week enjoying the ATP tennis at the O2 Arena.

The French legend was spotted sharing a joke with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez as the Gunners prepare for the visit of Eddie Howe's Bournemouth.

It was a chilly morning in London and Alex Iwobi was wrapped up as the team went through a number of pre-game drills.

And Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - this week linked by the Sun to Little Mix's Perrie Edwards - was on corner duty ahead of the game.

Pires attended the Global Gift Gala last week - an international fundraising initiative which support the lives of children and women worldwide - alongside Giroud, David Beckham and Santi Cazorla.

The game is likely to be must-win for Arsenal, who could be six points behind Chelsea come close of play tonight.

They have drawn their last two Premier League games - and Bournemouth will come buoyed by their 1-0 win over Stoke last time out.
