But as well as a minute applause, supporters also unveiled a banner which read: "R.I.P Robert Huxley"

It game was a fitting tribute for Huxley with Chelsea moving back to the top of the table with a 2-1 win over rivals Tottenham.

Before the match the power of social media was helping to convey a message in the hope the ground will join as one and honour one of their fallen family.

A leaflet was sent out that read: “Bob was a larger than life character and very hardworking.

“He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend to many.

“Bob attended Blues games with his brothers Phil, sons Adam and Ross, and close friends with whom he sat with in the Matthew Harding lower stand.”

Chelsea found themselves behind early on through Christian Eriksen but responded with goals from Pedro and Victor Moses.
