Neymar was en route to the airport to meet up with the rest of his team-mates when he crashed his Ferrari Spider — and destroyed most of the left side of the car.

Despite the mental trauma of the accident, Catalan daily report the 24-year-old is still ready to take to the pitch tonight.

It has been a difficult period for the former Santos ace with a potential two-year jail sentence looming over his head — and six-game goal drought.

A recent stalemate at home against Malaga, coupled with back-to-back wins for Real Madrid has seen Barcelona slip seven points behind the La Liga leaders.

However, victory at Anoeta tonight would cut the gap to four points with a meeting of the top two at the Nou Camp on Saturday.

Last season, Real Madrid stunned the hosts to win 2-1 and launch a title challenge which they maintained until the final day of the season.
