Stoke City transfer news: Potters told they can land highly-talented Genk winger Leon Bailey for £17m

Jamaican starlet is being courted by some of Europe's top clubs including Manchester United

STOKE CITY have been told they will need to fork out at least £17million if they want to land highly talented winger Leon Bailey.

The 19-year-old is one of the most sought after players in Europe with scouts from Manchester United, Manchester City and Napoli all closely monitoring the Genk starlet.

Bailey has already made it well aware that he would be interested in a switch to the Premier League but only if he is playing regularly.

And Mark Hughes' side have joined the growing list of clubs interested in signing the talent.

According to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, the Potters have been in contact with Genk over a possible deal.

He wrote on Twitter: "Stoke City have contacted Genk regarding Leon Bailey. Genk let the Potters know they want at least £17m for their Jamaican talent."

Bailey has shot himself into the limelight this season with a string of impressive performances, particularly in the Europa League.

The youngster has had a hand in six goals from five group stages match in Europe, scoring four and assisting two.

Blessed with blistering pace, Bailey is just one of the exciting talents to come out of Genk's youth set up that has produced the likes of Thibaut Courtois and Kevin de Bruyne in recent years.
