RONALD KOEMAN hasn't had a season to remember so far - and is even getting grief for the colour of his Christmas tree.

The Everton boss, 53, is trying to pick his team up after a dismal run of just one win in nine games.

And to get in the festive spirit, the Dutchman posted a picture of his decorated tree to his followers on Twitter.

But the Toffees faithful were not impressed with his choice of red decorations - forcing Koeman to go back to the drawing board.

One user wrote: "Red Christmas Tree! Noooooooo! Ronald, it needs to be BLUE! Happy Christmas."

And another complained: "just a bit of blue needed on that tree."

But he did a swift makeover and just 10 minutes later uploaded this

Just nine minutes after the original picture was posted, he'd ditched the red colour and seemingly decked out his tree in gold.

After the transformation - which was accompanied with the caption 'Better colour?' - Everton fans had calmed down a little bit.

One joked: "Nice to see a manager not afraid to change the Christmas tree formation!"

But the eagle-eyed amongst you will spot that the trees are not the same - with the floor, patio and lighting all a big giveaway.

Koeman is desperate to turn around the run of form which has seen Everton pick up just 6 points from a possible 24 in the Premier League.

They still sit seventh due to their fine start, but will be desperate to turn things around against Manchester United on Sunday.
