'WHAT A DONKEY'

Marouane Fellaini blasted by Manchester United fans for conceding late penalty against Everton as he made his 100th appearance for club

IT wasn't the introduction his boss Jose Mourinho would have wanted him to have.

Less than two minutes after entering the field today for Manchester United against Everton, Marouane Fellaini tripped Idrissa Gueye in the box giving away a penalty.

It salvaged a precious point for Ronald Koeman's side, who had fell behind to a 42nd minute goal to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Predictably, this sent social media into meltdown.

Many people on Twitter wrote how Fellaini made them ";angry", while Dino Dinarga described the 29-year-old Belgian as a "disaster".

Paul Gunning wrote: "The only good thing that can come from this is that Marouane Fellaini never plays for United again, while Miguel Delaney described the foul as "sloppy".

Ken Adams, meanwhile, says that Bastian Schweinsteiger would have done a better job seeing the victory out for Manchester United.

Rahul Sitaram wrote that he has been hoping United would sell Fellaini "for years", while Jake Scampion describes the gangly midfielder as a donkey.

It remains to be seen what Mourinho will have to say about the way the game ended.
