Joel Matip is poised to return to action in Sunday’s game against West Ham after resuming training during Liverpool’s team-bonding trip to Barcelona.
Matip was ruled out of the weekend trip to Bournemouth with an ankle problem, and was baldy missed as Liverpool threw away a 3-1 lead, losing 4-3.
The Cameroon central defender has become a key man for Liverpool since his arrival from Schalke 04 in the summer on a free transfer.
