CRISTIANO RONALDO has always said he's dedicated to his fans - and this video shot outside the Bernabeu proves that.

The Real Madrid star, 31, intervened after security tackled a fan who was desperate to get close to his idol.

Ronaldo stepped in after the over-enthusiastic fan vaulted the barriers and rushed towards the team bus as it prepared to leave for Valdebebas.

Burly security men quickly tackled the intruder and looked set to drag him away.

But the Portuguese captain looked sympathetic and walked over to talk to the fan, telling the heavies to stand down.
