Real Madrid are also monitoring Alli’s situation, having watched him on a number of occasions at the back end of last season.

The former MK Dons man doubled his wages to nearly £55,000 a week in September by penning his second deal of 2016.

The six-year deal takes him through to 2022, with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino moving to secure a number of the club’s young talents – including Harry Kane last week.

But Alli could triple his money at PSG, whose Qatari cash would not be matched within Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s current wage structure.
