Lor not good enough

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher slams Loris Karius after failing to deal with Dimitri Payet’s first half free-kick

It is the latest mistake from the Reds' summer signing who is costing Jurgen Klopp's side points

JAMIE CARRAGHER has continued the war of words with Loris Karius after telling the keeper to "shut up and do your job."

Liverpool's under-fire goalkeeper was heavily criticised by Carragher after failing to stop Dimitri Payet's free-kick during the first half of Reds' 2-2 draw against West Ham.

It is not the first time the Liverpool legend has stuck the boot into Jurgen Klopp's summer signing after his howler cost his side points against Bournemouth last weekend.

Carragher said: "In eight starts for Liverpool he has not shown me one thing to suggest he's good enough at this level. He's yet to convince me in any game."

But Karius hit back claiming he "did not care" about the pundit's views.

And now Carragher, who is a pundit for Sky Sports, fumed that Karius should do less talking off the field and concentrate on making saves.

Speaking about Payet's goal, Carragher said: "The keeper got criticism last week and has come out and had a pop at Gary Neville and mentioned me and my advice would be: 'Shut up and just do your job.'

"And doing your job and answering your critics would be saving that [Payet's free-kick]. That is not difficult, I think the positioning is fine, he gets across and reads it well and he is there.

"And his wrists, again like the first goal at Bournemouth, are not strong enough. It is not even in the corner and Payet has not even hit it that hard."

Liverpool will feel it was two points dropped after they were held at home to West Ham.

The Reds went ahead inside five minutes through Adam Lallana but were pegged back by two first half goals from Payet and Michail Antonio.

Divock Origi then capitalised on Darren Randolph's error in the second half.
