PSG to make stunning move for Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez as they look for statement signing
Struggling French champions line up swoop for Colombian star to reignite their campaign
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are plotting a stunning move for Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez.
The Colombian star has emerged as the top target for the struggling French side.
Rodriguez could even leave the Bernabeu as soon as next month, according to Corriere Dello Sport.
A host of Italian sides, particularly Inter Milan, are interested in the 25-year-old.
PSG are currently third in the Ligue 1 table and are struggling to keep up with early pace-setters Nice and Monaco.
Their wealthy owner is determined to try and revitalise their campaign with a marquee signing.
And Nasser Al-Khelaifi is prepared to sanction the blockbuster investment in January.
Rodriguez would provide the perfect profile to restore quality to the PSG attack after the summer departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
He already has experience of playing in the French league, having spent the 2013/14 campaign with Monaco.
The attacking midfielder has appeared 15 times for Madrid so far this season and scored twice.
