THE assistant referee who was tasked with officiating El Clasico last week has been handed a two-week ban by La Liga after reportedly getting 'too friendly' with the Barcelona stars.
Spanish radio station say that Pau Norbert Cebrian Devis was 'reprimanded for his conduct' after the investigation by the refereeing committee revealed questionable behaviour.
Devis is claimed to have been joking around in the tunnel leading to the dressing rooms with Barca star Lionel Messi and his teammates.
The refereeing committee have let their disapproval be known and forced Devis to sit out this weekend - and he has been told he won't be officiating next weekend either.
