Gary Neville to appear on special edition Sunday Supplement alongside SunSport’s Neil Ashton
Former Manchester United and England star to join journalists on the hit Sky Sports show live from the Etihad Stadium
GARY NEVILLE will sit alongside the country’s top journalists on hit Sky Sports show Sunday Supplement – just days after criticising the way his words were reported by media outlets.
The former Manchester United defender and now TV pundit will guest on a special episode that will be screened live from the Etihad Stadium this weekend.
Hosted by SunSport’s Chief Football Reporter Neil Ashton, Neville will also join the Daily Mail’s Martin Samuel, the Mail on Sunday’s Oliver Holt and Henry Winter from the Times.
Via his Twitter account, Neville has voiced his displeasure in recent weeks at how his comments are reported and offered to appear on the Supplement panel to discuss his thoughts on the subject.
The show debates the biggest issues in the football world and will be on air from 9am ahead of the mouth-watering clash between Manchester City and Arsenal later that afternoon.

Ashton is delighted to welcome him onto the show for what he feels will be a must-watch unique show.
The show’s presenter said: “It will be a fascinating and lively debate. The journalists are passionate about the print industry and they will be debating with someone who probably feels that his comments have been misinterpreted by news organisations around the world at times.
“This is his opportunity, and our opportunity, to have a wider and deeper discussion about the future of the print industry - I am sure that there will be disagreements, but the real purpose is to reflect on our industry and to decide whether Gary is right to voice concerns about the direction of sports journalism in this country."
On his upcoming appearance, Neville said: “It's a huge moment in the season for fans and players as the games come thick and fast and I can't wait to play my part with Sky Sports.
“The issues that dominate the back pages are fascinating and I'm expecting an interesting debate with some of the best football writers to set up what promises to be a big day in Manchester for the title race.”
Neville has forged a successful career for himself as an analyst on Sky Sports since hanging up his boots.
Despite a disappointing spell as boss of La Liga outfit Valencia last season, the 41-year-old has returned to television screen with great acclaim this campaign.
