PHILIPPE Montanier will be given time to prove himself at Nottingham Forest by the club's next owners.
The Frenchman has had a mixed start to his time at the Championship outfit, but the American money men coming in are ready to give him a chance.
Montanier will have a say in signings next month and could get an extended stay if results pick up as the Yanks consider his future.
Forest do not have a ready-made replacement in mind, with Burnley's Sean Dyche a dream target but unlikely to move until next summer at the earliest.
American financier John Jay Moores has pulled off a £54 million takeover and the other members of his Texan-based JMI Services group, including Charles Noell, will be revealed soon.
Moores finally did a deal with former supremo Fawaz Al Hasawi on the fourth anniversary of his arrival. The documents are now transferred and lodged at Companies House.
