Mesut Ozil ‘wants Arsenal to sign £30million Julian Draxler’ so he will extend his own contract
Germany midfielder has pleaded with Emirates bosses to snap up the Wolfsburg star who looks set to leave in January
MESUT OZIL has urged Arsenal to sign Julian Draxler so that he will be more likely to extend his own deal, according to reports.
The Germany playmaker has pleaded with bosses to snap up the Wolfsburg star, who looks set to leave the Bundesliga side in January, RMC Sport claim.
That could mean Ozil is close to making significant progress on his own contract talks if he is suggesting to the club what players would make good signings.

Ozil and left winger Draxler, 23, were part of the same Germany side that won the World Cup in 2014.
And it is clear that former Real Madrid star Ozil thinks Draxler has the quality to fit into Arsenal's style of play and adapt to the Premier League.
Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have 18 months left on their current Arsenal deals and talks between them and club chiefs are said to be "looking pretty good".
Alexis Sanchez is also locked in talks with the club hierarchy.
He wants £300,000-a-week for parity with the likes of Manchester United's Paul Pogba - and bosses are fending off big-spending competition from China.
Draxler has long been a target for Arsenal and they have already missed out on him once before, when he went from Schalke to Wolfsburg last year.
But the Gunners will have to fight off Paris Saint-Germain and Italy champions Juventus for Draxler, who is valued at £30million.
