Bastian Schweinsteiger: Manchester United midfielder could RETIRE from football at the end of the season despite interest from America and China
The German midfielder has only recently made it back into the first-team picture at Old Trafford, but he could well call it quits
BASTIAN SCHWEINSTEIGER could deliver a massive shock and retire at the end of this season.
The out-of-favour Manchester United midfielder is considering all of his options and that now includes quitting the game in May even though he would have one season left of his Old Trafford contract.
Schweinsteiger, 32, who has suffered nightmare since joining United from Bayern Munich for £6million in 2015, has offers from both the United States and China to continue his career.

But the former German star, who quit international football after Euro 2016, is now questioning whether he will continue playing for anyone even though he would lose out financially.
Schweinsteiger, who earns £140,000-a-week, has played just once for Jose Mourinho after being frozen out of the first-team.
If Schweinsteiger did decide to retire from the game next summer, United would happily tear up the final year of the three-season as it would save them over £6m.
He made his first appearance for Manchester United this season as late substitute in win over West Ham, helping to set up a goal.
And despite getting himself back into Mourinho's match-day squads of late, Schweinsteiger is likely to be on the bench at best for the match away to in-form West Brom this evening and possibly wont even get on the pitch.
